Germany – Study Destination

Study in Germany

Germany’s public universities charge almost no tuition. Getting in is the challenge — and that is where we come in.

Germany has some of the best universities in the world — and public universities charge little to no tuition fees for international students. That combination makes it one of the most financially attractive study destinations available. However, Germany also has some of the most demanding admission and visa requirements of any country we work with. Most programmes are taught in German, visa applications require proof of a blocked account of approximately €11,000, and admission is competitive. For students who meet the requirements and are prepared to invest in the process, Germany offers exceptional long-term value. We will tell you honestly whether you are a strong candidate before you commit.

We guide students from East Africa through one of the most document-intensive study abroad processes available — and we make sure you are fully prepared before you apply.

After securing admission:
  1. Preparation of required documentation
  2. Financial proof preparation (blocked account or approved equivalent) Note: The blocked account requirement is currently approximately €11,000 — this must be deposited in a German bank account before your visa is approved. We guide you through setting this up.

  4. Travel arrangements upon visa approval
  5. Residence registration upon arrival

Tuition & Living Costs

Public universities in Germany charge little to no tuition fees for international students — typically between €0 and €3,000 per year in semester administration fees depending on the state. Private universities charge significantly more.

Monthly living costs vary by city — Berlin and Munich are more expensive, averaging €800–€1,200 per month including accommodation, food, and transport. Smaller university cities are more manageable at €600–€900 per month. The German visa requires proof of approximately €11,000 in a blocked account before approval — this is non-negotiable and must be planned for well in advance.
